New story idea that I just typed:

• Scarlet was frantic. “Where could he be?!” “It will be okay.” Valerie patted Scarlet’s shoulder. “Yha, we’ll find him.” Leah reassured. “We better.” Scarlet sighed. “You know…” Leah looked around at the vast mansion that was Scarlet’s house. “We are going to need some help.” She took out her cell phone as Scarlet and Valerie split up to start the search. Leah waited for someone to pick up. “Hello?” “Kevin!” “Leah? How do you have my number?” “That’s beside the point. Scarlet needs help.” “Scarlet?!” Kevin was now paying attention. “What’s wrong?! Is she hurt?!” Leah almost laughed at his concern. “No. It’s nothing like that. She just needs help. Come over to her house and then you can assist us.” “Sure. I’ll be there.” Kevin hung up. *** By the time Kevin got to Scarlet’s house, Nicoli and Jake were already there. Kevin walked in, looked up the enormous spiral staircase and mumbled to himself. “And you met someone with this kind of money, how…” “Kevin?! You were called here too?” Jake walked out of the theater-style den and into the foyer. “Yha, what’s going on?” Before Jake could answer Leah ran down the staircase. “Kevin! Thank goodness!” “Huh? What’s going on here?” Leah grabbed Kevin’s arm and pulled him up the stairs. “Scarlet’s upstairs in her room, maybe you can talk some sense into her or at least calm her down.” “Why? What’s wrong?” Kevin inquired as he was dragged up the stairs. “We can’t find her beloved. Oh and don’t worry, Val’s in Scarlet’s office.” Leah turned back towards Jake. “Come on, we’ve got to keep looking!” Jake spun around and walked back into the den. She then continued to pull Kevin. “Scarlet’s practically in tears because we can’t find him.” “Him?” “Yha, him.” After more pulling, they arrived at Scarlet’s pink room. “Did you find him?” Scarlet sadly inquired from her place on her bed. “No, not yet.” Leah solemnly replied. “But, Kevin’s here! He can help.” Scarlet sat up and looked at Kevin. “Thanks. I bet this seems pretty stupid.” “What’s stupid?” Kevin looked at Leah and then back at Scarlet. “Stink’s missing!” Scarlet wailed and then slammed backwards onto her bed. “Stink?” Kevin looked confused. “Technically Stink and Turtley.” Scarlet corrected. “My baby blanket and the stuffed animal turtle that I keep it in.” “And we can’t find them anywhere. That’s why I called. This house is so big; we needed all the help that we could get.” Leah finished. Valerie then walked into the big, pink bedroom. “He’s not in your office.” She then noticed Kevin. “What is he doing here!?!” “Helping me.” Scarlet sat up, took a deep breath and continued. “Let’s keep looking. I need to find him.” “Fine.” Valerie let Kevin’s presence go. “I’m going to go and help Nicoli in the living room.” “And I’ll go back to searching your parent’s office.” Leah said as she and Valerie left. “Let’s go down stairs.” Kevin suggested. “Okay.” Scarlet stood up. Kevin put his arm around Scarlet’s shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. He had never seen Scarlet like this. She never let anything get to her. She watched Civil War movies where people were blown up and amputated; and she wouldn’t even blink an eye! Scarlet leaned into Kevin as they descended the spiral staircase. They walked into the living room to find Nicoli’s body halfway into one of the couches. Kevin laughed. Scarlet walked over to an over-sized, couch-like chair and sunk into it. “Where should I look?” Kevin asked. “I don’t know. Try anywhere.” Kevin left to search and Scarlet just sat. A half an hour later Kevin yelled from upstairs. “I FOUND HIM!” Scarlet ran up the stairs to Kevin who was waiting at the top. She leapt at Kevin and hugged him. “Thank you so much!” Kevin handed her the stuffed animal turtle. Scarlet took it and squeezed it tight against her chest. “You found Turtley?!” Nicoli, Jake and Leah exclaimed in unison as they ran up to Kevin and Scarlet. Valerie walked up too. “You, you found Stink?” “Yes.” Kevin looked so proud of himself. “We’ve been looking for three hours! You’ve only been here for a half an hour!” “Let it go, Valerie.” Nicoli put his hand on his girlfriend’s shoulder. “But!” “Valerie!” They all yelled. “What? You know I like to tirade!” Scarlet shook her head. “Come on, Stink, let’s go back to our room.”
